Nata Villiage

Hey there!

This is my second blog post for “required Reading.” I actually enjoyed doing these blog posts on required reading. When we do them the first place I go is Nata Villiage, because I love all their interesting stuff they right, but the stuff on Nata Villiage, also can be really sad becuase its all true!

On Nata Villiage, there was this really sad blog post telling us how that many children there do not own ONE store bought toy. They are all given to them. Some kids have bikes but they don’t have them for long becuase they are shared, and many children from all over use the bikes.

The kids there have to use their own imagination, and make many of their own toys! They make cars and stuff out of aluminium cans and wire. The kids here use their imagination for all their toys, becuase if you haven’t already noticed this country is so poor, and the children and parents have nothing!

If you look at your life, and all the things you have in it, then you look at this blog, it makes you want to think about things, and how you have so much more in one week than they ever will have in their life. Its really sad, and children shouldn’t grow uplike this.

This was a well done blog post, and you should take a look at it.

Our church here every christmas time, has people from all over town donate things such as clothes, school supplies, toys and canned foods etc. to these people out there.

If you know a church in your community that does this save your toys you don’t play with, and the clothes you don’t fit, instead of throwing them away or whatever you do with them, and give them to these children, they deserve and need them!

    Hi Hillary! :)
This blog post makes me want to cry. You did an amazing job. It’s true that we have all the stuff we need to live and more and the people in Africa are barely surviving! :( It makes me so sad. We all can help though, through the Project Red. Lovin’ your blog hill.

This post made me think about how lucky we are to have newly bought things. I agree with Rgirl, as this proves that we should appreciate what we have right now, because we are lucky to even have this stuff! Just fresh drinking water, food to eat, a house to live in and a safe place to live makes me feel lucky after reading about what some people have around the world. It was interesting to read about how the children would have to invent their own toys, and I think by donating to an organization who help these people. or sponsoring a child would really make a difference. As we have much more than we can ask for, my family has chosen to donate to organizations like this. I agree that if you have some old clothing that doesn’t fit anymore, or some items such as toys that you no longer use, it would be a great idea to give them to these children who will really appreciate them. Something as small as a shirt that doesn’t fit anymore, or a toy that has sat at the back of your cupboard for ages would really help these people, as you compare them to the current toys they have.
