Heyy everyone, I was reading this blog post, that had something on the same sex marriage, and the comments that people left in there were unreal! Some said that people married to the same sex should die and its horrible! I decided to see what people who read my blog thought of same sex marriage. You can leave your thoughts and opinions in my comment box for this post, but please keep them clean (no swearing, and mentioning names).

MY OPINIONS

Yes, I think same sex marriage should be able to happen in Canada, they are the same as us, and as free as us. I think they should be able to be here in Canada, after all we are a free country

Yea, although I don’t live in America, I still belive they should be allowed there too, like why not? Seriously do people have a problem with lesbians, or gay people? Well you know what? The can shove it where the sun don’t shine, and keep it to themselves!

In their own home? DEFINTLY NOT! Its their house, they can do what they want in there, it makes me mad to know that people think its wrong. If gay and lesbian realtionships aren’t allowed to be private in their own home, should straight people be allowed? There the same!

Out in public, I think that their should be a limit. Because straight people just don’t go to a restaurant, and start making out and what not, so why should other couples do it? It makes no sense to me. I say that they should be aloud, to kiss, and hold hands and what not, but not go all crazy

Raising children together, I think is a little odd. I know it may go against what I was saying up there, but I don’t agree with this. I know that is my mother, or father was married/ dating someone of the same sex, I would be a bit embarrassed, but only because I live in the capitol of gossip.

Heyy everyone! Well school is ALMOST OUT!!! on Thursday that is our last day and I am really excited becasue i have a great and sad summer planned, with moving and everything. anyways, we had to pick two posts that we thought we did really well on and they could be from our new blog or our old blog. I decided to pick one from each blog, and here they are:

Ottawa reports three murders in less than a week. Written December 9 2005.

I chose this post because I thought I did a really good job writing this, and describing it.. I also like this post becasue in the comments box, a girl names Ashley wrote a comment, saying that Kayli Cundall (the girl that was murdered) was her cousin, i found it really sad. I also think that this was a really good post because, I had some good opinions in it, I took a lot of time to write it and I also had emotion in this post. When I got this post marked, I got 5/5 on it. I think that this was a good post.

Cloning, should we or shouldn’t we? A very good blog post, with lots of opinions, from me and other people.

This post I wrote at the end of February. I did a good job on it, and put a lot of thought into it. At first we did an essay on a certain thing, and I picked cloning. I wrote a post on it. There were people on here who put what they thought of cloning, and everything on this post was well thought out. I thought really hard about all this.

these posts, and both of my blogs show a lot of things as a writer and a learner. I learned a lot about other people and a lot of things happening all over the world by reading other peoples posts. I had the chance to comment and ask questions about peoples posts, and everything I asked, I got an answer back. This really shows a lot about me as a writer because I gave all of my opinions on something and turned them into a blog adding facts. When I wrote a piece I felt I could give examples, opinions and facts about this and this made me confident that I could write well. I really enjoyed these blogs and I feel that they made me more condfident knowing that people are gonna write me back and tell me what they think, if they aggree of disagree with me etc.

At the beginning of the year when we started blogs, I didn’t really feel like doing these, and I thought that they were just a waste of time, but I was WRONG! I have loved having these blogs and I learned a lot about writing, people, things happening with my friends, I met new people, I have learned ALOT about things going on in the world, and I learned that I can be free to write what I want, and I like how people would disagree with me, becasue it just encouraged me to write more.

 I have been a big part with the network, I think because I am constantly going onto other peoples blogs, reading them and commenting. A lot of people have came to my blog, and I am really happy about all this. With me writing on other peoples blogs, I think that they came to my blog to write on here. The whole blogging thing, has brought us closer to people in Brazil and different places out of North America. I think this because the people from Brazil are writing things about whats happening in their country, and we are reading them, and knowing whats happening there. This is why I think we are closer to them now.

With these blogs I have learned a lot from others. I learned about thats happening there in the world, and I have met new people. Some people from places such as brazil and Australia have some how gotten my e-mail, and we e- mail eachother back and forth. I have made new friends thorugh blogging. Blogging helped me with my spelling and grammar. I also have learned to type REALLY fast, becuase I have been typing a lot on here, and I also have been writng fair amounts, so it is helping me to type faster, check my spelling and not look at the keyboard when typing

I’ve contributed by going onto other peoples blogs from all over the world and commenting, and reading their stuff. Everything that I have commented on, I have thought about what I read. I don’t just wait for people to come to me and cooment, I go to blogs and comment on theirs because its only fair. 

Over the year when we started this, I have learned a lot, I have worked really hard on this blog, and I plan on keeping it if I can. I really enjoy writing in here, because I like how people can read what I have to say. It is so much different that just writing on a piece of looseleaf where only your teacher can see, or writing in a diary, where no one can read it. I love these blogs, and I am very thankful we got to experience these.

Heyy everyone! In L.A we are doing poetry, and Mr. Fisher said we had to make a chapbook. A chapbook is a small book where you take some of your good poetry and make it into a book. Some of us started on Wednesday.

We need to write 12-15 poems, using atleast 8 different forms.  I’m doing pretty good on this and we needed to pick a topic, so I picked summer. My 12-15 poems, are all on summer.

Heyy evryone! Well this is the blog post telling you guys why I am a little unhappy. You see tonight is the very last dance of the year, and it isn’t even really a dance anymore. One of the teachers has to watch hockey tonight and chaperone at the same time, and I guess when he did this last evryone was watching the hockey game, instead of being in the dance. I am really upset because this is my last dance here before I move and Kathleens, but it wont even be a dance.

The thing I dont understand is why people are paying three dollars to go to watch the hockey game, when they can watch it at home!! It fries my broccolli I tell you, and the other thing I dont get is why the teacher would agree to chaperone if he wants to watch the hockey game, GRRRR IT IS MAKING ME SO MAD, AND I KNOW IT IS MAKING SOME OF MY FRIENDS MAD TO!!

Heyy everyone!! Whats up? Nothing here for me, just sitting here in an unhappy mood, but i’ll tell you why in another blog post. I just finished my social studies test, and boy and I happy it’s over!! WOO!

For about a week and a half- two weeks, we have been working on these two big posters, and reading the story Catch. Mr. Fished took two pieces from the story and put them on big papers. We needed to draw the mood that Rita was feeling for each part. We weren’t aloud to draw the scene, but we could draw parts. We were being marked on our colour, brushes, and lines.
After we were done colouring we had to write a piece explaining what we drew and why we drew it. I am done both of mine!! I am really happy because I found them kind of boring, because I had some troubles with them.

Anyways I am happy that they are over, and I just hope I get a good mark on them. I am pretty sure I will get a good mark.

Heyy everyone! I’m finally done my math! This will just be a short one because I only have 15 minutes. Were finished Rome FINALLY! I am really happy we are finished. It was really boring, but I got awesome marks on it! Like our Reading Theatre,  I got 77/80 on it that is 96%!!!!!!!! But sadly we have a test!
On the test we need to know things like, the famous romans. We need to know Gods/ Goddesses and their jobs. Our timelines (not so much the date) and the Pax Romana. There are so many other things like the Punic Wars and stuff. Last night I was up until midnight studyind, and this morning during silent reading I was falling asleep. I was really tired, but I want to get over 80% becasue i’m afraid this test will bring my mark down, and I dont want it to!

We write our test tomorrow after break in the morning. I am going to study again tonight, not so late tho because I want to wake up so I can study in the morning too. I HOPE I GET OVER 80%

heyy everyone! I’m sitting here during silent reading and writing my blog posts for a week. I was stuck and just sitting here, then I realised I could write about what we are doing in math. I know I already wrote about it once, but i’m giving you updates on it, because we have done new things!

Yesterday May 31 2006 we learned mean, median, mode and range. I’ll share them with you

mean, median, and mode are three measures of tendancy.

Mean “Average” - you need to add up all the numbers, and divide by the number of items.

Median- The cental number in a set of numbers. Place in oreder from lowest to highest, and find the middle number.

Mode- The number that shows up the most in a set of numbers.

Range-The total range of nubers that appear in a set. Take the lowest number and then highest number, then subtract them.

We also learned yesterday how to make a circle graph. We had to make ou own percents and everything. I’m going to use an example from yesterday. Our example was on human teeth, Take a look.

Incisors- 8

Canines- 4

Bicuspids- 8

Molars- 12

All these equal 32 teeth total.

Up there you have your information. Now you have to find the percent of your data.

Incisors- 8 divided by 32= .25

(I got this by taking how many incisors I have and dividing it by how many teeth there are all together.)

Canines- 4 divided by 32= 12.5

Bicuspids- 8 divided by 32= .25

Molars- 12 divinded by 32= 37.5

After you found your percent you have to find the degrees,the way you find your degrees is by taking the percent of something and multiply it by the degrees in a circle (360*)

Incisors- .25 x 360= 90*

Canines- 12.5 x 360= 45*

Bicuspids- .25 x 360= 90*

Molars- 37.5 x 360= 135*

After you got your degrees you need to make your graph. You just got to make a circle with your compass, the circle should be farely big, about half a page. You use your protractor to make a line, and then you have to use your degrees and your compass, if you have 135*, you use your protractor (line on the dot) and then you add all of your information. You should have a title, and labels. You need to colour graph also :)
